The owner, Sarah Miller, moved to Texas in 2016 to further pursue more rodeo and breeding opportunities. She found the property that the arena now sits on and fell in love with the location right away. From there, Wildwood was born. The facility was created to be a unique place for dreamers, ropers, breeders, barrel racers, and event goers alike. Miller made sure that everything was built with great detail and even more care.
“We are recommending that we increase the fee from $22 per semester credit hour to $35 per semester credit hour…We cap that at 13 semester credit hours, so if you take 15, 16, 17, 18 semester credit hours in any given semester you only pay 13 semester credit hours of the athletics fee…and that will not change,” Beaty said.
“The WAC didn’t break it, we didn’t break it, it came from the Lone Star Conference because they are upset we are leaving,” Hurley said. “They are losing their flagship institution, and what’s going to happen is there are more institutions…that want to go with us, really good institutions. I think they are starting to panic a little.”
Fans in the 100 and 200 level seating areas will no longer be able to bring bags into the stadium that are not clear. Fans can carry one large clear bag that is 14 inches by 6 inches by 14 inches or small clutch bags. Fans sitting in the Club Level and Suites will have their bags screened prior to entry.
