Collegiate FFA hosts Ag Olympics
By Blair Smith –
Tarleton’s very own Ag Olympics, where students will compete in different competitions, is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m.
Collegiate FFA is hosting the event and being advised by Dr. David Frazier. Students will compete in a series of events such as, wheel-barrel racing, tool matching, agricultural knowledge events and ag term matching.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun, and help students relax and not stress as the end of the semester draws closer,” Frazier said.
The Ag Olympics are being held at the school farm.
Requirements to be involved include a team of at least five and one member of the opposite sex.
Snacks will be provided for attendees. Barefoot has also donated awards for the winning teams.
Collegiate FFA is one of the clubs attending and Frazier said, “next fall we plan on inviting all the different clubs to bring a team so all the school organizations can participate.”
They hope to see 50 or more students attend this year and even more next year.
If you have any other questions about the event, contact Frazier for more information in Ag 107.
