Cruz and Clinton win Erath County

It’s all said and done at the courthouse in Erath County for the 2016 Democratic and Republican Presidential primary election.
Early voting results came in and showed in the GOP polls that U.S. Senator Ted Cruz was leading in Erath County with 43.31% of the votes. New York GOP candidate Donald J. Trump followed with 30.57% of the votes, and Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio followed with 13.89% of votes.
Early voting showed for the Democratic party that former U.S Secretary of State Hillary Clinton led in Erath County with 60.56% of the votes while Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders followed with 35.92%.
The polls closed at 7 p.m., and the official results came in. After twelve hours of steady voting, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz won Erath County with 46.81% of the votes, which equals 3,286 Republican votes followed by New York GOP candidate Donald J. Trump, who garnered 28.92% of the votes, which equals 2,030 votes.
On the other side, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won in the Erath County primary with 52.52% of the votes, which equals 427 votes, while Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders received 44.90% of the votes, which equals 365 votes.
