Erath County Humane Society to hold Easter Eggstravaganza
By: Madison Reed
On Saturday, April 3, the Erath County Humane Society will be holding their annual Easter Adoption Eggstravaganza. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pet Supply Plus at the Christy Plaza behind the Cotton Patch Café in Stephenville.
The Easter Adoption Eggstravaganza is an adoption event for the community as well as for the animals. The Easter bunny will make an appearance at the event and the dogs from the shelter will be able to participate in an Easter egg hunt.
In addition to potential adoptions and time to play with the animals, there will also be baked goods, snow cones, T-shirts and other merchandise for sale. There will also be a photographer on site who will be available to take photos.
Serena Wright, the director of the Erath County Humane Society, said, “Anyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring pets. It doesn’t cost anything to come.”
The Erath County Humane Society is not the only organization participating in the Easter event. Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.) and Comanche All Pets Alive (C.A.P.A.) will also be present.
During the Eggstravaganza, the Erath County Humane Society will be offering $10 microchipping for dogs and cats. Dublin Dog Den will also be offering nail trimmings.
“Please come out to see us,” Wright said. “Have some fun, find a new fur family member and, since we are already at Pet Supplies Plus, you can go in and shop for dog food, toys, leashes, crates and treats.”
