• Review of David’s Seafood: rustic, Italian charm meets seafood savvy

Upon entering this rustic, cabin- themed restaurant, I was greeted by a very cheerful host.  I waited all of about 20 seconds before I was seated in a glossy wooden booth (which was great for decoration, but horrid for comfort). As I glanced around the room I noticed mounted deer heads, fish and a rather large stuffed bear. The dimmed lights and glow of the fire gave the illusion of being on vacation in the Colorado mountains, almost making me forget where I was.

  • Totally not typical tempestuous teen tale (4 out of 5 Stars)

During a time of year when theaters are filled with horror movie remakes and sequels, Stephen Chobsky’s “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” is a breath of fresh air.

“Wallflower” is a heartwarming, relatable story about Charlie (played by Logan Lerman), a shy high school freshman. The story starts on Charlie’s first day of school during which the only friend he makes is his English teacher, Mr. Anderson (Paul Rudd). Later on, at a football game, Charlie meets senior stepsiblings Patrick (Ezra Miller) and Sam (Emma Watson) and Charlie instantly develops a crush on Sam.

  • Let’s Eat restaurant review (4 out of 5 Stars)

You probably have driven past it and never given it a second glance; it’s just a small white building along Highway 377. But inside that non-descript small, white building sits a hidden Bluff Dale gemstone called Let’s Eat, owned by Curren Dodds, a classically-trained French chef.

  • A Very Merry Perri Christmas (5 out of 5 Stars)

Before Halloween could even say, “BOO!” Christina Perri had already gotten into the Christmas spirit with the release of her new EP, “A Very Merry Perri Christmas”. The romantic singer/songwriter created a holiday album with one original song and five renditions from artists such as The Carpenters, John Lennon and Bach.

  • Justin Bieber’s Growing Pains

Justin Bieber is finally a legal adult and his third full-length album, Believe, is a compilation of tracks that, for the most part, seem to reinforce this fact. His first two music videos from this newest album, “Boyfriend” and “As Long as You Love Me” have made teenagers as well as older fans swoon over Bieber’s new mature style.

  • Iwanna iFrogz booster review (4 out of 5 Stars)

Booster Plus by iFrogz is a small, battery-operated, portable speaker for smart phones that changes your musical experience from solo to shared instantly, without cords or an external power source. It is quite ingenious in concept and simple in design, so much so you may wonder why no one ever thought of it before.

  • C. Fulla and Antoine Banks’ ‘#DopeForever ‘ review (4 out of 5 stars)

Hip hop has dominated the music charts for the last two decades and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down; Antoine Banks and Cody Fuller, aka C. Fulla, are making sure of that.

They recently released their first collaborated mixtape under D.O.P.E. (Dreaming of Possessing Everything) Music, and it has been a hot commodity, especially around the central Texas area. The mixtape is that perfect sound for what a lot of people look for when they are out on the town or at a house party. The mixtape has a perfect blend of songs that make you want to get up and dance, and others that make you listen to the lyrics and hear the story the two have to tell. Singer Amanda Colon also appears on the chorus’ of some tracks and she adds a beautiful voice to an already talented pair of vocal artists.
