The man accused of killing America’s deadliest sniper, Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield will be in front of a judge Monday afternoon. Routh has been charged with capital murder of multiple persons.
Kyle and Littlefield were with Routh at Rough Creek Lodge on Feb. 2 for “shooting therapy.” Officials say Routh then turned the gun on the pair and shot them to death. Routh then fled in Kyle’s truck.
The purpose of Monday’s hearing is to go over pre-trial motions.
During the hearing, the defense attorney reported that they did have motions to file, but have yet to file them due to delays in the process.
Alan Nash, attorney for the prosecution, reported that they had no motions to file and are ready for trial.
There is a tentative court date set for Oct. 21. Officials say the date is likely to change.
