Senior Farewell: Katelyn
By Katelyn Rivera—
In nine days, I’ll finally be walking the stage in Wisdom gym with my fellow classmates. I never though this day would come, I actually never thought about finishing college, period. The time is now, I’m finishing up projects, packing up my house and actively thinking about what’s happening next. I have not become emotional about it, but that will eventually come.
I’ve been a part of Texan News Service for about a year and a half and it feels like it’s been a lifetime. TNS has become my home, it’s consisted of friends that I consider part of my family. There have been highs and there have been lows. It’s weird to think that I won’t be living in Stephenville anymore. I’ve spent almost 5 years of my life here, but now it’s time for a new chapter.
I would like to thank TNS, the Communications department and Tarleton State University for molding me to who I am today. Thank you to Dan and Kathryn Jones-Malone for being the best advisors in the world and teaching me how to be a great journalist. Most importantly, the friends I’ve made at this university and TNS, thank y’all for the memories, love, support and relationships. I’ll never forget it.
