TexAnn volleyball is on a season-high 10-match winning streak

The TexAnns returned back from New Mexico over the weekend after winning their 10th straight match in a two-game sweep against Eastern New Mexico University and Western New Mexico University. The TexAnns currently lead the Lone Star Conference (LSC), have moved up on the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll and are now ranked No. 13 in the country.

The current TexAnn volleyball team holds the highest ranking in school history, surpassing last year’s 2016 season high of No. 14 in the country. The TexAnns are the highest nationally ranked team in the Lone Star Conference.

Tarleton State University will face Texas A&M Kingsville on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Wisdom Gym. The TexAnns are 17-4 overall and they are in the Lone Star Conference at 9-1 while Texas A&M Kingsville is ranked 3rd in the LSC at 6-4.

Hailey Roberts currently holds a number of 2,167 career kills as she quickly approaches the Lone Star Conference kills record held by Central Oklahoma University’s Alma Brahimaj. Brahimaj holds the LSC record of 2,404 career kills during her 1999-02 season with the Broncos.

The TexAnns are scheduled to host Texas Woman’s University and Texas A&M-Commerce for a weekend doubleheader. The TexAnns face Texas Woman’s on Friday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. and Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.
