The view on Do: A look at Tarleton’s 10,000th student
By Azia Branson –
The student identified by the university as the record-breaking 10,000th person to enroll this fall says he feels “energized” by his distinction.
“I feel as if I’ve helped the school achieve something,” said Khahn Do. He said his favorite thing about Tarleton is, “The students and staff are friendly and always helping.”
Do, originally from Vietnam, graduated from Plano East High School in 2011. He is now a freshman biomedical science major and plans to go into pharmacology when he graduates.
Tarleton will be celebrating its record 2012 enrollment by honoring Do as a special guest at the Trogdon House on October 10 at 2:00 pm.
In a letter to Do, Dr. David Weissenburger, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, said officials “plan to introduce and recognize you as our 10,000th registered student. You won’t want to miss what we have planned.”
“Getting invited to the (Trogdon) House and meeting the president — not everyone gets that chance,” Do said.
According to the letter from Weissenburger, Do will be sharing this memorable event with faculty, staff and students at Tarleton.
