Medzone Hydration Lounge is Stephenville’s newest clinic using a new form of modern IV medicine for the Cowboy Capital.

This business opened in April of 2023 and is owned and operated by Dustin and Jessica Ford. This business provides medicine treatments with mixed vitamins and amenities through an IV.

“We wanted to open this in Stephenville because Stephenville doesn’t have anything like it, so the whole purpose of us being here is to offer people a place to come where we fit in between a primary care doctor and the ER,” Dustin said. “For people that need the type of service we offer,  primary care doctor isn’t going to offer in their office a majority of the time and some people don’t need to go to the ER so we kind of wanted to do this and offer them a place between the two so they could get what they needed and not spend several thousand dollars in the ER.”

Dustin and Jessica are the only current employees of Medzone because to work at an IV Clinic you must have previous medical training and knowledge.

“In order to work in a place like this you have to have some sort of license,” Dustin said. “I have been in the medical field my entire adult life; I’ve been a paramedic for about 5 years or so and I was also a medic in the army so I have a good amount of experience working with IVs and stuff.”

Jessica has experience in the emergency department as a Chief Medical Scribe, she also has a bachelor’s in biology with a master’s in kinesiology, both from Tarleton State University. Jessica volunteered for three years as an Erath County First responder.

Medzone has several treatment options that a person will pick depending on what they need to be treated and the dosages of medicine can be adjusted depending on a person’s symptoms.

They offer Injections of Biotin, B-12, MICC, and MICC plus, as well as you can pay to have extra amounts of other medications in the IV bags.

“We can customize everything to what someone is looking for because we don’t order everything pre-made we have the ability to put any one of those in a combination together,” Dustin said.

The products range from rapid rehydration for a dehydrated person, a hangover remedy for when you’ve done too much, or even a brainstorm IV designed to help the brain retain more information and stay focused for longer periods so that students can study for exams.

You can see deals and information about Medzone Hydration Lounge on their social media or stop by and get a custom IV at their location on the square in Stephenville.
