Super Bowl LVIII will take place this Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers and Tarleton State University students are ready.

The Texan News Service went around the Tarleton Stephenville campus and asked students to tell us about their plans and predictions for the Super Bowl.

A staggering 87% of students said they would be watching the game and most of them would be with friends or family.

Out of the 57 previous Super Bowls, only 26 teams have won the coin toss and also the game. Students predicted an almost 50/50 split for who would win the toss at this year's game.

73% of students are rooting for the Chiefs and 27% are cheering on the 49ers to win the championship rings.

Jason Kelce, Philadelphia Eagles Center and brother of Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce took off his shirt after the Chiefs won against the Buffalo Bills, sending the Chiefs into this year's Super Bowl. Students predicted that it is almost guaranteed that Jason will do this again on Sunday.

Other than the actual game, 28% of students are looking forward to the food, 30% are looking forward to the commercials and 43% are looking forward to watching Usher perform at halftime.

The favorite Super Bowl snack was chips and dip by far, followed by wings, pigs in a blanket and jalapeno poppers.
