Finals are rapidly approaching and students are spending more time buried in their studies, but they’re bound to need a break. A restaurant is a great way to build up some energy while also taking a mental break from your studies.
Listed here are some of the best restaurants around Stephenville.
Azteca Bar & Grill
If you’re ever wondering where to get the best Mexican food in Stephenville, Azteca’s is the place to go. They have a variety of different Mexican dishes, each one leaving a lasting impression with its flavor.
“I love the variety of food,” said Lydia White, a nursing student at Tarleton State University. “It’s always so delicious. The workers are also so welcoming and kind when I dine in.”
If you’re wanting a more laid back experience, Azteca’s has got you covered. They have a bar section with TV’s set up in every corner so you’ll never miss a football game.
Grumps
Grumps is a classic burger spot. They have several different options for burgers and sandwiches, such as the “Chili Cheeseburger” and the “Patty Melt.” Their rustic interior and delicious food makes Grumps an unbeatable location.
“I love Grumps,” said Logan Limmer, a freshman at Tarleton. “Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is amazing.”
The Purple Goat
With a variety of dishes on the menu, The Purple Goat is one of the best restaurants to go to when you’re not really sure what you’re hungry for. They offer everything from quesadillas to chicken fried steak to breakfast food.
Another perk to The Purple Goat is the customer service. Each server takes the time to make sure the customer is taken care of and comfortable at the restaurant. The owner, V. Stephens, makes multiple rounds throughout the restaurant, talking to the customers and building a bond.
Hard Eight BBQ
Some of the best barbeque in Stephenville can be found at Hard Eight BBQ. Their meat is tender and filled with flavor, easily satisfying the customer’s hunger. With a plethora of options and sides, you’re guaranteed to have an amazing meal at Hard Eight.
Peacock’s Restaurant
Peacock’s Restaurant is another great option when you’re not really sure what you want to eat. With breakfast served all day and one location being open 24/7, Peacock’s is a great spot to check out after a football game or just when you need a late night break.
“Peacock’s is amazing,” said sophomore Bryson Bullard. “Their food has always reminded me of home cooking and their customer service has never been short of exceptional.”
Although there’s so many more restaurants in Stephenville, these five locations are highly recommended for anyone needing a good dinner and a great experience.
