Music is an integral part of people’s lives. Whether you blast your headphones 24/7 or hear a popular song in a department store, music surrounds us.
When you have a favorite musician, it’s natural to want to see them perform their songs live.
This year, there are several popular artists either continuing or starting their tours. Here are some you should check out.
Dua Lipa
The pop-star got her first taste of fame back in the summer of 2017 with her song, “New Rules.”
After that, she was an instant hit, going on to release many more popular songs. Some of these songs include “Don’t Start Now,” “Levitating (feat. DaBaby)” and “Dance The Night.”
Lipa’s upcoming tour will be centered around her latest album, “Radical Optimism,” while also featuring other popular songs from her past projects. She will be touring from March to Oct., starting her shows in the U.S. on Sept. 5.
Tyler, the Creator
Tyler, the Creator is another popular R&B artist.
Tyler gained lots of traction with the release of his first album, titled “Goblin,” but many people are more familiar with his latest albums, such as “Flower Boy,” “IGOR” and “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.”
On Oct. 28, Tyler released his most recent album, titled “CHROMAKOPIA,” blowing his fans away. The album has a storyline and takes the listener on a journey with him through Tyler’s eyes.
A few of these songs became instant hits, such as “Sticky (feat. GloRilla, Sexyy Red & Lil Wayne),” “Noid,” “Like Him (feat. Lola Young)” and “Balloon (feat. Doechii).”
His “CHROMAKOPIA” tour just recently started on Feb. 4 but will continue to Sept. 4 with foreign shows added between the dates.
The Weeknd
The Weeknd is a well known R&B artist whose rise to fame began with the release of his album, titled “Beauty Behind The Madness.” His fame continued to grow and is now one of the most listened to musicians in the world. He performed the Super Bowl halftime show in 2021 after the release of his fourth album, “After Hours.”
Weeknd released his fifth album, titled “Dawn FM,” in 2022, continuing the storyline from his previous album. Starting on May 9, Weeknd will be doing a tour titled “After Hours Til Dawn,” combining the two albums into one tour. The tour will conclude on Sept. 3 in San Antonio, Texas.
Lainey Wilson
Lainey Wilson is a popular country singer with over 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. She’s released four studio albums and has even had a song featured on the newest “Twisters” movie, titled “Out of Oklahoma.”
On Aug. 23, 2024, she released her fourth album, titled “Whirlwind,” including a feature with the famous Miranda Lambert. The album was met with praise by fans and marked the next era for Wilson. Her tour for the U.S. begins on Aug. 14 and will continue until Nov. 8 with some extra shows between international shows.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA
Both Kendrick Lamar and SZA have been creating music for years, but 2025 has brought even more attention to the artists. SZA just released a deluxe version of her album “SOS” titled “SOS Deluxe: Lana.” This album featured 19 new songs for fans to enjoy, including her single “Saturn,” which just recently won a Grammy for “Best R&B Song” in 2025.
Lamar has also gained a lot of new fans with his ongoing feud with Drake, a well known rapper and R&B singer. During their feud, Lamar released several diss tracks, such as “euphoria,” “meet the grahams” and “Not Like Us.”
However, Lamar has had success long before these tracks with his previous albums, such as “good kid, m.A.A.d city,” “To Pimp A Butterfly,” “DAMN.” and “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.”
On Nov. 22, 2024, Lamar released his latest album, titled “GNX.” This album features two songs titled “luther” and “gloria,” both featuring SZA. Lamar and SZA have also collabed before on the soundtrack for Marvel’s “Black Panther” on the song “All The Stars.” With both of these artists having recent releases and collabs on so many songs, they decided to tour together.
Lamar and SZA’s tour, titled “The Grand National Tour,” will begin on April 19 and continue to June 16, only doing 20 shows in the U.S.
